"There-s no flesh or blood within this cloak to kill. There-s only an idea/ Ideas are bulletproof."

I have chosen this quote because I feel myself close to it. Humans are not only their body, they are more, they have reason and thinking. With these two important aspects we could realize ideas which could last forever, over our death in the hart of other people. I think that if you believe in something you have to protect your idea because if it comes from the heart, it will never die.

    1. Thank you very much for sharing your idea. I totally agree with you. But who says whether an idea is bad or is good and it's worth fighting for it?

It would be nice if also your classmates shared their thoughts.

  2. I have chosen these quote : “Knowledge like air, is vital to life, like air, no one should be denied it”. I like this phrase because i believe that people need to be educated and government can’t deny the people their education. Through knowledge a person has the possibility to find a good job, to have success in life, to make a lot of money. This quote can be associated with a famous pakistan girl, named Malala who fought against the Taliban because she demanded that girls be allowed to receive an education. She survived, and has continued to underline the importance of education. I remembered that she was nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize. She was the youngest person to receive the Nobel Peace Prize. I agree with her when she said “One child, one teacher, one book, one pen can change the world.”

    1. "Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world", said Nelson Mandela. It's unbelievable that nowadays there are a lot of people who drop out of school in Western countries and aren't capable of appreciating this great opportunity. There's an interesting documentary called "Sur le chemin de l'ecole" telling the difficult journey to school that four different children in four different parts of the world have to undertake. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eIsQ0B43Q9Y

“The past can't hurt you anymore, not unless you let it.”

I chose this sentence because I think that this teaches us a lot. We mustn’t let past hurt us, we have to let the mistakes that we made in the past teach us and make for the future with our heads held high and with big smiles on our faces.
But if we let the past in, we will never learn from it and we won’t ever be happy. We will just carry on a weight on our shoulders that we don’t need.

    "God is in the rain".
Every rain drop is full of hopes, dreams, illusions, all the feelings that humans have, they can be contained in a drop of rain. The sky and clouds that generate it, represent freedom and origin. And i think humans are like a rain drop, and every rain drop is unique because has its own individuality. A drop is the man. And if God is in the rain, God is in each of us.
It's really important to me beacuse only when you go through so much, then you realize that good can be found in everything, everywhere and in everyone you meet.

  5. I chose the quote that says: ‘’behind this mask there is more than just a flesh. Beneath this mask there is an idea….and ideas are bulletproof’’. I like this sentence because i understood from it that not just important people (like politicians, businessmen, CEOs…) can make a change, but ordinary people can make it too. As an example i’ ve got on my mind the image of a chinese citizen who put himself in front of tanks to stop them. And I also understood that ideas never die. Infact, even if the one who gave the birth to an idea dies, the words that he/she said will never be forgotten. I’d put Falcone and Borsellino as example of ‘’immortality’’ throught ideas.

  6. “Everybody is special. Everybody. Everybody is a hero, a lover, a fool, a villain. Everybody. Everybody has their story to tell.”
I really enjoy this quote because it makes me think. Nowadays people tend to have prejudices and to classify a person in a certain way. We tend to close our minds and we don’t want to change our ideas, but it’s wrong, we must be open to all. In fact, when we know better a person, we realise that he or she can be the opposite of what we thought and he or she can leave an indelible mark on our lives. Above all, it makes us think that everybody has their story to tell. No one is superior to anyone. No one is better than anyone. So, no one has anything less than others. Everybody has something of special and, to please the others, it’s very important to learn to accept ourselves. We must believe in ourselves, if we are a hero, if we are a lover, if we a fool, or if we are a villain too. Everybody have faults and everybody has different characteristics. But faults make people special, and « variety is the spice of life ».

  7. “Everybody is special. Everybody. Everybody is a hero, a lover, a fool, a villain. Everybody. Everybody has their story to tell.”
I have chosen this quotation because when I read it, I have changed the way of seeing people.
Before, when I met someone that I considered a villain or a fool, without knowing them, I used to judge them like strange people and I wasn’t interested to listen what they had to say.
But now, I have understood that you don’t have to criticize people if you don’t know them.
This quote express a universal truth because everybody is really special and has its own story to tell.
Probably fool and villain people are the weakest one, and if we listen to them, we can help them with their problems and maybe make them feel more important.

  8. "The past can't hurt you anymore, not unless you let it."
I like this quote because it's true,we shouldn't give the past the power to hurt us again, because it's already happened.
We must be strong and, above all,we don't have to regret our decisions because of the past.
Or we can see it in a positive way:if we had made bad choices we won't make the same mistakes.

  9. "Knowledge, like air,is vital to life. Like air,no one should be denied it."

I like this quote because expresses a universal truth, because is always actual. As a matter of fact, education, that is the way that leads men to knowledge isn't always present for everyone all over the world.
However knowledge is important, because a life without it is not a real life, without it we are just like robots, machines thet follow orders without consciousness, personal ideas and opinions.

    1. I agree with you. What could you do to make other teenagers aware of the importance of education? I'm thinking of the boys and girls that have decided to leave school for example...

  10. "the past can't hurt you anymore, not unless you let it. They made you into a victim, evey, they made you into a statistic. But that's not the real you. That's not who you are inside"

If you let the last overcome you, you would never live well the present and all you're deepest fears, terrible fears, will appear again and confuse you and the present that you're living. People who didn't belive in you, always critized and teased you, making you think that you are the problem, the victim, but that's not true, because they (as a group) have no personality instead of yours, that is unusual, unique, maybe a little bit crazy. They know nothing about you, they didn't care to know you, because they had a wrong idea of you, for this reason it doesn't worth to show them who you really are.

  11. “Artists use lies to tell the truth. Yes, I created a lie. But because you believed it, you found something true about yourself.”

I like this sentence a lot, specially in the film when the terrorist says this sentence to main character, a girl called Evey. All days we says big or small lies, and this sentence is true in nowadays because at the end when the people say lies always say a truth, but sometimes through a lies you could understand many thing to yourself and your reaction, and mostly you understand the temperament of people who says lie. In conclusion sometimes the lies help you to find yourself and the truth.

  12. "The past can't hurt you anymore, not unless you let it"

This quote impresses me a lot because it is a great truth in my opinion.
Our past can hurt us only if we want.
We should not always think about it or about things that are happened. We have to live our life without being influenced by the shadow of the past.
However we haven't to forget it. It can help us not to remake the same mistakes.
In conclusion i think that the past is a double-edged sword. It depends on experiences.

"Love your rage not your cage"

This quote made me reflect on the fact that we can think in a different way from the society's way. People don't have to be dominated by the government and shut their opinions, indeed if they think that someone is taking advantages of them, they can riot against the situation. We have the right to judge everything that happens around us and we have to catch this opportunity because in lots of countries the citizens' personal opinion is oppressed. In conclusion we have to try to raise the citizens' power and to always support the side of justice.

“There's no flesh or blood within this cloak to kill. There's only an idea. Ideas are bulletproof.”

This quote...it makes me think about the world of today, in particular about all the wars that tear off everything and everyone. When I think about someone, somewhere, who wants to kill an idea, a thought, an opinion slaying innocent people (what terrorists are trying to do,and what the Nazis did to Sophie Scholl and her companions), this almost makes me cry.
Then I say to myself: "It's true that those men go on shooting, bombing cities and imposing very strict laws and rules, and if you don't respect them, you'll be beheaded, but...they won't kill an idea. Ideas never die, they are forever. In conclusion, terrorists will never reach their object."
I could say that if I have to die because of my ideas, if I have to die for not respecting something evil imposed to people, for being different, for having a different opinion...I'd choose to die as a rebel, rather than be remembered as a girl who has her hands covered with blood.

“The past can’t hurt you anymore, not unless you let it.”
I think this quote it’s full of meaning. The past is in the past so our current life should not be ruined by our passed actions, even better, thanks them we can learn not to redo wrong choices again. Basically, we don't have to be afraid of our new life because of past mistakes.
I mean, we don't have to forget, but we have to continue our way stronger than before.

"Love your rage, not your cage."

This quote is really interesting. Why should people love their rage?
We should love it, because rage is like a motivation; if someone gets angry it means that he isn't satisfied by what he has done. We have to use our rage as a motivation to do that thing in the better way possible, we have to do our best everyday.
We also have to pay attention, rage can be our cage. If we give too much importance at it we could live everyday with the rage and it starts slowly to destroy our happiness.
Rage is like fire, is something that, if used in the right way, could help us in many ways, but we have to be careful because maybe it can hurt.

"The past can't hurt you anymore , not unless you let it"

I have chosen this one because I think that it could have a connection with my life and with all people's life.We are always worried about the past, because it will have always an influence on our presents.
You can't forget anything .. in the future maybe you will think about something that was in your past even if you don't want.
The past can't hurt you.. it doesn't make you sad , it's only your fault ..or better.. it's our fault, because I'm sure that all the human have this little defect. We rimember all the tings that have happened in our life(or maybe only the most important , but in the majority we want to forget only them ) even if we want to don't think to them ,but we can't do anything because we can't control always ourselves and think " I mustn't think about it, I mustn't think about it" but we know that we have already thinked about it unwittingly.
It's so difficoult to control ourselves
